Welcome speech by the Ambassador of the Netherlands Jan Versteeg during the debate “Critical Urban Mutations-Architectural Opportunities in Times of Crisis” which took place last Friday 14 of December at the Benaki Museum in Pireos str. The debate was attended by a great number of young architects and students.
2 ARCHITECTURAL OPPORTUNITIES IN TIMES OF CRISES
Athens is facing the worst raft of crises in seven decades. How can young architects respond and remain relevant? Which architectural strategies find opportunities when dealing with the pressing urban questions of today? In association with the Hellenic Institute of Architects (EIA) and the Embassy of the Kindom of the Netherlands, the Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAI) is organising a Debate on Tour in Athens on 14 December 2012. It forms part of the 7th Biennale of Young Greek Architects.
